Trout fishing syndicate ESSEX

Why not join our fly fishing syndicate?

The Syndicate, established in 2003, has grown from strength to strength. We are proud to offer a few exclusive memberships at £320 per season.

Our fishing season runs from 1st March to 31st October, providing ample opportunities to enjoy a day on the lake.

We have members from all over the region, including Chelmsford, Southend, Billericay, Colchester, Basildon, Brentwood, and some even from Kent! As part of the Essex angling scene, we pride ourselves on maintaining exclusivity by limiting memberships, making us one of the most exclusive and private fly fishing clubs in Essex.

If you're googling fly fishing near me then look no further than the Sticking Hill Fly Fishing Syndicate.

FISH CAUGHT ON THE LAKE

    Sticking Hill Lake stocking

Our reel of the Sticking Hill trout fishery being stocked prior to the 2023 season!

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at office@essexcountrysports.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. On average the fish would around 2-3 lbs.  However, there are some large browns in there with the max probably be a 8/9lb!

The lake is stocked twice per season. Once at the end of February/ beginning of March and once at the end of May.

The lake is 8.5 acres and is used as a reservoir for  the Orsett Estates vegetable crops.

As the lake is large for the amount of syndicate members, the lake rarely, if ever, feels busy.

The only other fish that are in there would be sticklebacks, rudd, perch and maybe the odd eel. Nothing you will catch when fly fishing.

Catch and release system will operate- two fish per person can be taken daily. All catches are to be recorded in the book up at the lake.

When you sign up and pay your membership fee. You will be given the combination to the car park which is next to the lake.
